I've started my first week at the Uni of Choice. I'm finding it a bit weird trying to actually find rooms in buildings I've walked through but never been IN. It doesn't help that many of the older buildings seem to have a great lack of adequate signage. It took some wandering to find both the rooms for my classes thus far.
My first lecture, yesterday, turned out to be utterly boring. After an hour of 'ohnoes!' I left and went to the school office to fill in a rule waiver, so I could take senior history units. I hadn't met the junior history prerequisites (2 junior units), and I've used the maximum number of junior units, meaning I can't fulfill the prerequisites.
Today I went to the lecture for the history unit I had applied for. It was SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING. Tragically, the room it's scheduled in is on the stuffy side, and quite bright during the morning. I hung out with loads of people from one of my socs and then went home. On the way home, I got a voicemail saying that my application had been approved. Hooray!
On the downside, this means I need to stand in line for X hours at the faculty office tomorrow, to get them to process the form. Very glad I bothered getting out of bed this morning - I was tempted not to, because it was cold and rainy.

So. I know I really haven't updated in a while... Here's a quick rundown:
I did pretty well last semester:

My birthday was rather awesome (first time I've had it in the holidays) - Fambly dinner and we saw Pirates II. It was long. Some people fell asleep.
Now, Uni's back and I have three essays and a tut paper due next week. Which explains the word counts below.

To all my lovelies who are HSCing this year:
I'm in the process of cleaning up at the moment, and getting rid of my HSC stuff from last year is murder. It includes old, but at least partially relevant books. My philosophy was always that they were all at least a bit helpful, because of different coverage, or different ways of explaining, etc. I'm also getting rid of all my notes, so if you're interested, and actually studied one of my subjects (English Adv., Ancient + Extension, German, Biology, Legal), I'd be happy to foist them upon give them to you.
